My 61 Favorite Memories of 2003:
61. We discovered what it was like back in the day during the eighth grade Lewis and Clark expedition thing.
60. Kim, Beth, and Christina made wonderful (hosted) websites, but Susan is still learning.
59. Heather and Susan figured out that when going out with TOM, they like to go to Skateworld.
58. Heather and Susan became majorly obsessed with O-Town--but not so much after they broke up. Susan even went to the June 11th concert at Freedom Hill.
57. The Larson student council bought picnic tables and we were some of the first people to eat outside at them.
56. Heather and Susan almost flunked algebra and had to take it over again, along with Beth, in high school.
55. Susan received an A in her high school algebra class--one of her first As in a math class.
54. We all made new friends in high school, yet continued to stand by each other.
53. We found the enjoyment of Halo. Heather and Susan even played it at Nick's house a few times.
52. We ate at Johnny Rocket's at Great Lakes Crossing, and discovered why some people don't like kids coming to restaurants on their own.
51. Susan performed in the Larson Middle School talent show.
50. Kim and Beth were in their theatre arts class play, "The Knights of the Rad Table."
49. Corey invented the Mental Poke.
48. Heather and Susan attended Lloyd's "book burning" party.
47. Susan's mom was driving Susan and Heather to see Pirates when the big blackout occured.
46. Susan did her TuTu Dance everyday after lunch in Mrs. Shappee's room.
45. Charlie began sitting with us at lunch sometimes.
44. Corey became our friend.
43. People thought Christina and Corey were going out and there was a huge fuss.
42. Susan went to Heather's house and they recited the lines of POTC in an hour and a half without a script.
41. Heather and Susan watched Nick Timmer win $500 at the Edge Talent Show.
40. Kim and Beth gave up their job of touring the fifth graders to Susan and Heather, who wanted the job very badly.
39. Susan and Heather created hot guy notebooks.
38. We paid homage to Fred the Apple.
37. Heather's room walls were painted green, she got new carpet, and she made a LOTR/POTC shrine.
36. We found out that Marty Klebba, who had a role in Pirates of the Caribbean, went to our middle school and high school.
35. We discovered that Joshua Gracin, an American Idol Season 2 contestant, is a Michigan (Westland) native.
34. Heather finally purchased the "pretty pony."
33. Heather and Susan practically lived at the Teen Room for a whole week during the summer.
32. Christina confessed her crush for Young-Key AGAIN, and then decided she didn't like him--AGAIN.
31. Heather and Susan began having ping-pong and video game matches.
30. Heather was grounded from the phone for a month; her dad told her to put the phone down, so she dropped it.
29. Susan had her birthday party at Skate World and invited Lloyd. We all learned never to give him caffeine.
28. Heather and Susan got to partake in the enjoyment of Corey's muffin.
27. Christina, Kim, Beth, and Heather all got contacts, but Susan opted to stick with glasses.
26. Susan finished writing her novelette, "Journal of a Pop Star," which she began at age 12.
25. Heather began liking things that Susan introduced her to (ex. Queer Eye, Johnny Depp, River Phoenix on Family Ties, etc.)
24. Susan tried desperately to figure out Christina's "secret." Susan even called Christina at 11:50 p.m. and they had a 5-minute phone conversation before deciding it was too risky and hung up. After debating since 11:11 p.m., Christina finally typed the name at 12:03 a.m.
23. Kim, Beth, Susan, and Christina--Susan and Christina in particular--were gladdened by Clay Aiken's popularity, while Heather continued to make fun of him, yet still admitting that he was cute on certain shows.
22. A few of us went to Athens during the summer to try and find our classes. A few times we were almost hopelessly lost.
21. All of us agreed that "student assistant" was hot--a first.
20. Christina's mom crashed into someone's car after picking up Christina and Heather from seeing a basketball game. This is not a good memory, but it certainly was memorable.
19. We were annoyed beyond reason trying to figure out the meaning of the song "Milkshake" by Kelis.
18. We all had fun at the Freshman Carnival; Susan sang Lonestar's "Amazed" for karaoke, and Christina won a DVD player.
17. Corey came to school wearing his "gay" necklace.
16. Susan came to school dressed like a girl for three school days.
15. Christina and Susan started their, "Sing it Clay!" "No, don't!" tradition.
14. Heather and Susan were stranded at the Teen Room at night and wrote a song about it. The next day, Susan sang it to her language arts class.
13. We graduated from Larson Middle School and attended the dance afterward. A little while later we all went out to eat.
12. We all raked leaves at Kim and Beth's house while listening to Clay Aiken's CD.
11. The day after LOTR: ROTK came out, we went to a 3:30 p.m. showing and had a blast. Almost all of us cried twice throughout the film.
10. Everyone went to Kim and Beth's house, and we recorded "California Dreamin'." There was much rejoicing when we finally got everything correct.
9. Beth got a crush on "Big Fish."
8. Heather threw her first real party--a Halloween party. It was a wonderful success. We played ping-pong, watched Stand By Me, and talked until it was time to go home.
7. We had a small picnic at Hill Elementary and had fun splashing in the water. Later, we changed into dry clothes and watched Signs. Heather was holding onto Susan's arm for a good portion of the movie, and Christina was frightened as well.
6. All of us went to bookstores the night that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix came out. Kim, Beth, and Christina waited for six hours, while Heather and Susan were only there for a couple of hours or so.
5. Heather said hi to Jake Reed, and so began the nightmare.
4. Heather and Susan went to their first high school dance. Susan was bored out of her mind and disgusted by the distastful music and dancing while Heather danced on some guy's knee, whom she did not know.
3. Susan saw Pirates of the Caribbean 11 times in theatres, and Heather saw it 9 times.
2. We all froze our butts off at Powderpuff football game and toasted our cocoas, saying that we would attend that game every year.
1. Susan, Kim, Beth, and Heather rented several movies, yet Kim and Beth's brother and his friend were using the basement TV, so everyone walked to Susan's house--carrying a huge popcorn bowl--to watch What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
